Tech ED Professional Development

Just recently I was telling a group of Administrators about this program but for the life of me I could not remember the name.  Well, here it is.  I have worked with a couple of teachers who have been through this program and it was wonderful!

The eMINTS National Center at the University of Missouri has offered research-based professional development programs to K-20 educators since 1999. eMINTS changes how teachers teach and students learn. eMINTS National Center programs were developed in collaboration with the University of MissouriMissouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri Department of Higher Education.
eMINTS professional development uses interactive group sessions and in-classroom coaching/mentoring to help teachers integrate technology into their teaching using an instructional model that
  • promotes inquiry-based learning
  • supports high-quality lesson design
  • builds community among students and teachers
  • creates technology-rich learning environments
eMINTS began in Missouri – its name an acronym for the project enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies. Today eMINTS can be found in classrooms across the United States and in New South Wales, Australia.
