Students control camera on the International Space Station!!

We have exciting news! The U.S. Space & Rocket Center, partnering with the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Teledyne Brown Engineering has been selected by NASA to operate EarthKAM.
NASA astronaut Sally Ride established EarthKAM in 1995 under the name KidSat. EarthKAM is a NASA-funded experiment aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Students from around the globe control a digital camera pointed toward the Earth to take pictures from space. The student.s pictures are downlinked from the ISS and posted on the EarthKAM website where students can see their pictures and use EarthKAM curriculum materials to learn more about Earth observation, geography, atmospheric science, and what it is like to live and work in space.
The next EarthKAM mission is scheduled for November 9 – 13, 2015. If you are an existing Sally Ride EarthKAM user, your login and password will remain the same. However, the new EarthKAM website is www.earthkam.org and it will be going live on October 15, 2015. All further inquires about the EarthKAM program should be sent to earthkam@spacecamp.com.
This is an amazing program that I highly recommend. My students have always loved participating in this program.
